Cards bring Ryan Lindley back to fill Carson Palmer’s spot

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Cardinals have filled the open spot on their quarterback depth chart by signing Ryan Lindley.
Lindley, a former Cardinals sixth-round draft pick, was on the Chargers practice squad after the Cardinals cut him this preseason.
He actually started four games for the Cards in 2012 (winning one), when they weren’t quite the best team in the NFC like they are now.
He at least brings some familiarity with the system and the personnel, to fill a seat behind Drew Stanton and rookie Logan Thomas. With Carson Palmer gone for the year with a torn ACL, that’s quite the list of guys being asked to keep the team atop the NFC standings.
And if they’re not going to sign Tebow and make the professional football media’s jobs easier, then we suppose it’s the best they could do.
